Crust:
Wrap bottom and sides of springform pan in foil. Mix together cookie crumbs, sugar and butter in bowl until crumbs are moistened. Press into bottom and 1/2 inch up sides of pan.
Filling:
Beat together cream cheese, sugar, cornstarch and salt in bowl until smooth and creamy. Add eggs, beat well. Add vanilla beat 30 seconds. Pour all but 1/2 cup of filling into pan.
Heat oven to 325 degrees.* Put chocolate chips into a bowl. Heat in microwave at 100% power for 40 seconds or until melted. Stir chocolate into reserved filling. Spoon in dollops, over top of filling in pan, swirl chocolate dollops into white batter to marbleize. Place pan in large baking pan on oven rack. Pour enough boiling water into large pan to come halfway up sides of springform pan. Bake 60 min. or until done. Remove springform pan from water bath. Remove foil from pan. Cool. Cover and refrigerate 6 hours.
