Banana Split Cheesecake

Crust prepared from graham cracker crumbs and melted butter is pressed onto bottom of shallow baking pan. Filling created from cream cheese, and confectioners’ sugar is spread over crust. Filling topped with pineapple and banana slices and whipped topping. Cheesecake is garnished with cherries, pecans, and a drizzle of chocolate syrup.

Ingredients -
2-1/2 cups Graham Cracker Crumbs
3/4 cup melted Butter
4 cups Confectioners' Sugar
2 (8 ounces) packages Cream Cheese
1 (8 ounces) can crushed Pineapple, drained
3 medium Bananas sliced
1 (12 ounces) container Frozen Whipped Topping (thawed)
8 Maraschino Cherries halved
1/4 cup Chocolate Syrup
1/2 cup Pecan Halves
 
Preparation:

1. Blend melted butter and graham cracker crumbs and press into bottom of 13 x 9-inch pan or buy a ready-made crust.

2. Blend confectioners' sugar and the cream cheese until smooth.

3. Spread over the crust and layer the pineapple and banana slices on top.

4. Then spread the whipped topping over the top.

5. Decorate with the cherry halves.

6. Drizzle with chocolate syrup and pecans.

7. Chill for at least 4 hours then serve.

You should only mix ingredients until combined and avoid over mixing.

Unsalted butter has a higher percentage of pure butterfat and lower percentage of water and milk solids than regular salted butter. In addition to being lower in salt, the butter has a higher burning point than regular butter.
